So, what seed are we carrying in our WBU store?

Premium Black Oil Sunflower Seed - Studies by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Cornell Lab of Orinthology have shown that most seed-eating birds prefer oil sunflower seeds. It is a high calorie, high fat, and high protein content seed with a relatively thin shell.

Safflower - a "problem solver" that is great for cardinals, titmice, and chickadees, but is not that popular with grackles, starlings, blackbirds and even squirrels.

Nutrasaff - has a thinner coat than the regular Safflower Seed and a higher protein content.

Sunflower Chips -all sunflower seed, no shells. Again, a very popular seed for most birds.

Nyger (thistle) - Imported from India and THE seed for American Goldfinches and Pine Siskins. Best fresh (like all of our seed) and used in special thistle feeders.

Peanuts (in shells) - The Blue Jays, nuthatches and yes, squirrels just love 'em.

Shelled Peanuts - tasty......and used as part of a blend or in a special peanut feeder. Very popular with the aforementioned birds as well as Tufted Titmice, Carolina Chickadees and all of our woodpeckers.

Deluxe Blend - Black oil sunflower, white millet, striped sunfower and safflower.

Supreme Blend - Black oil sunflower, safflower, sunflower chips, striped sunflower

Choice Blend - Black oil sunflower, sunflower chips, shelled peanuts, safflower, striped sunflower.

No Mess Blend NM CD - sunflower chips, diced and chopped peanuts, calcium

No-Mess Blend DP - sunflower chips, diced peanuts

Finch Blend - a blend of Nyger and finely chopped sunflower chips

Tree Nutty - Like "bird granola" and has peanuts, sunflower hearts, striped sunflower seed, cashews, almonds and some corn. Perfect for bigger birds.

Wildlife Blend - peanuts in the shells, corn, striped sunflower seed and peanut splits. This is perfect for Wild Turkeys, Squirrels (!), deer and the like.
